Tom can think outside the square and combine elements of your home design into the landscaping to make the two compliment each other.

PERGOLA AND CORTEN STEEL PLANTER

For this landscape project in Heathcote we have transformed the private rear section of the property. The brief from the busy client was to create a stylish private outdoor area that would require minimal maintenance to keep looking good.

A triangular pergola provides a shaded spot out of the summer sun with views up to the Port Hills. The solid Corten steel walls screen off the fences behind and create an intimate space to relax in. A low Corten steel planter connects with the pergola and provides shape to the garden.

Planting out the garden beds will soften the look and the green of the plants will contrast well with the red of the rusted Corten steel as it ages. A small lawn surrounded by a concrete mow strip completes the look.
